Job Description
We are seeking an experienced associate with a strong background in civil litigation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in conducting discovery, drafting motions and briefs, and taking depositions of fact.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases, including insurance defense practice. They will be expected to hit the ground running and contribute to the firm's mission to provide excellent client service.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A law degree from an A.B.A. accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
An active membership in good standing in the State Bar of Washington or any other state bar where the firm practices law.
A minimum of one year of civil litigation experience/jury trial experience, preferably in insurance defense practice.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with tact and diplomacy.
Expert-level written and verbal communication skills.
Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, external partners, and clients.
Ability to support multiple complex cases and adapt to changing priorities and demanding deadlines.
Excellent ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and with proper professionalism.
Fluent in all necessary technology, primarily Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), Adobe Acrobat, among others.
Willingness to learn and undertake new tasks outside of prior experience with enthusiasm and confidence.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and flexible with the ability to adapt to change.
Superior decision-making skills.
