The Loan Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and providing support for various functions of the Loan Operations Department from loan approval through onboarding and servicing. The Manager will utilize expert loan operations knowledge to manage the workflow for Commercial, Real Estate, Mortgage and Consumer loan onboarding and servicing. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work through escalated servicing tasks independently and professionally to meet client needs and organizational goals.
Essential Job Functions
• Perform quality control review of daily core system input for new loans, renewals, and maintenance.
• Supervise team of closing and servicing staff– ensuring proper coverage and management of pipelines to meet regulatory, organizational and client timing requirements.
• Assist in reporting and timely resolution of outstanding reconciliation items.
• Provide troubleshooting support to the loan operations team - using knowledge and resources to assist with escalated tasks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Support for reviewing accurate reporting for purchased/sold participations.
• Work closely with department Director on all functions including but not limited to - funding, core system set up, modifications and renewals, reporting, and servicing.
• Maintain proactive internal communication with lending staff, department Director, and analyst team.
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations, laws and all policies and procedures pertaining to them.
• Adhere to MapleMark Bank’s policies and support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
• Represent MapleMark Bank with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Provide feedback to management regarding ideas on process improvements and efficiencies.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills)
• College degree in Business, Finance or equivalent, or work-related experience, preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of loan operations experience
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
• Loan reporting knowledge, including call report and concentration reporting.
• LaserPro or loan document program experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of loan core system(s), products and other services as required
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in confidential matters
