We usually respond within three days
Want to be part of a hyper growth, fast paced, global business that is radically changing the decades old delivery universe as we know it? If so, read on, as we're looking for a Logistics Planner to join our team!
Our mission? To switch up the status quo and become the UK's leading out-of-home business. With a fast-growing network of thousands of smart lockers, hundreds of leading retail partners and the launch of our InPost collection points, we're bringing freedom to anyone with a parcel.
On our path to transforming e-commerce delivery in the UK, we're building an unparalleled group of talent that's hungry to help us disrupt the industry (find our 2023 annual report here). Our team is packed full of top-notch experts in e-commerce, technology, scale-up growth, sustainability, logistics and supply-chain. We're a passionate bunch and expectations are high, but we're team players - collaborating, supporting, and leaving egos at the door.
About the role:
Our dedicated team of logistics planners meticulously crafts weekly routing plans for our expansive network of 30 depots, covering a comprehensive 6-week planning horizon. By dynamically adjusting plans to align with the evolving demands of our business, they play a crucial role in driving significant efficiency improvements and enhancing overall operational performance. Our planners are the backbone of our logistical excellence, ensuring that we remain adaptable, efficient, and ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing industry.
What you'll be doing:
• Develop cost-effective plans aligned with budget requirements for depots across the logistics network.
• Ensure plans align with required initiatives, ensuring cost focus is maintained throughout.
• Identify and address gaps between planned and actual performance for respective depots, implementing necessary changes to improve plan accuracy.
This will involve..
• Ownership and accountability for the creation of Courier routing plans for several depots across the InPost network
• Creation of cost effective and capacity focussed Courier routing plans for the depots you have accountability for
• Regular depot engagement and stakeholder management to ensure feedback of quality and accuracy of plans is sought and accounted for where necessary
• Weekly analysis and review of Plan v Actual compliance to assess any adjustments required
• Carry out root cause analysis on any additional routes created by the respective depot teams and implement changes required to prevent re-occurrence
• Ensure compliance with various business driven initiatives focussing on cost and capacity
• Assume accountability for changes required to your respective sites related to new deployments, changes in scheduled visit times etc.
What we need from you:
We're looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today's stuff done, whilst building for the future. We're looking for people with drive and natural curiosity - who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly.
• You will specifically need experience in an analyst role ideally in a similar role
• Data analysis skills will be critical for this role but also the inquisitive mindset to test and learn (what does the data tell us if.....?)
• Have worked in a role where you are proactively managing stakeholders
• Not afraid to instigate meetings to discuss challenges and problem solve
• Know your way around Excel and can develop Power BI presentations
We'd be particularly excited to hear from you if:
• Exposure to transport or logistics planning is ideal to give you the head start.
The InPost process:
We pride ourselves on our candidate experience. We want to make this as straightforward as possible, for you and for us! We will try our best to get back to you within a few days to let you know if we'd like to take you to the first stage. This normally involves a 20 minute chat with our Talent Team. If we both feel the connection, you'll then go through another one or two stages, depending on the level of the role.
At InPost, we love uniqueness. Our strength is our people.
We strive to create an open, equal, inclusive environment in which everyone has the opportunity to flourish and be themselves.
