This is a new and exciting post that has become available within the Division. This is a one year appointment as a Lower Limb fellow for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a new post starting from 1 st week of August each year.
Any applicant who is unable for personal reasons to work full time will be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with lower limb arthroplasty consultants.
The post has been designed with the aim of preparing the incumbent for a Consultant appointment. It is funded through the NHS with salary at SpR level.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an active and well-organised department, staffed largely by an enthusiastic group of Consultants who run regular teaching sessions and are committed to career progression and furthering education.

Please note, there maybe an on call component required with this role, if it's required by the service.
Lincolnshire is scenically and geographically varied. It includes the Lincoln escarpment on which the beautiful medieval Cathedral stands, the North Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, the extensive beaches of the coastal strip, and the vast farmlands in the south of the county.
Lincolnshire has retained the grammar school system, and has a reputation for providing excellent state school education. In addition, the cost of housing compares very favourably with many areas of the country.
The post will be situated mainly at Grantham Hospital with specialist trauma lists and elective clinics at acute sites
The Lower Limb Arthroplasty Unit at ULHT has ten substantive Consultants. The Fellowship is run by Mr Rambani, Mr Antapur, Mr Rowsell and Mr Othman, but there will be an opportunity to work with all of the lower limb arthroplasty Consultants.
