Are you an experienced Machine Operator? Lowe-Martin is seeking a skilled individual like you to join our team in Mississauga. This includes operating finishing equipment such as Folders, Guillotines and Stitchers and coordinating the work of Helpers.

SHIFT: Evening shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday to Friday as well as weekend work from time-to-time.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to set-up and operate Folders (MBO, Stahl) Guillotine (Polar) and Mueller Stitcher
Small bindery equipment including Drill, Duplo and other small finishing equipment
Be able to troubleshoot equipment and jobs
Respect and abide by all Health and Safety policies, as well as all safety checks on equipment
Be able to assess and approve the finishing on jobs for the helpers
Must be fluent in English and able to read, understand and follow instructions on dockets
Coordinate the work of Helpers to run jobs and complete work as assigned by the Bindery Manager of the day shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of secondary education and/or equivalent
Strong mechanical aptitude
2-3 years of related work experience running similar equipment
Able to read and understand instructions and follow quality procedures
Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Able to work well both independently and in a team environment
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Must hold or be eligible to attain Government security screening to Reliability level
