About the jobEndevor Administrator using technologies – COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS, PSB,TSO/ISPF, REXX, Batch scheduling, Endevor, Easy Edit.Endevor administrative activities and maintenance.Providing Suitable development and testing Environment for mainframe developer and testers.Handling parallel development, performing Application source management functions.Release management and deploying code changes to various environments like System Test, Pre-production, and Production.Handling processor groups, Endevor Exits, and various Endevor access via ACF rules.Creating value adds to customer by automating various activities within Endevor such as auto shipment, auto archiving, auto deployment and auto Binds etc.Work closely with developers to ensure functional enhancements are coordinated and implemented inaccordance with a published release schedule.Coordinate maintenance/emergency fixes so they are prioritized and deployed in a timely manner.Maximize the use of SCM tools to control all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) but, not limited to – source code version/revision management, promotion, build/release management and issue/change management.Act as the central point of control for all mainframe product builds. Coordinate promotion of product releases through the various development and production environments.Provide Hot-Line coverage during normal business hours for Priority/Emergency change requests. To provide developer support and 24 x 7 off-shore coverage via On-Call roster.Coordinate planning sessions for Release deployment activities including the Monthly/Mid-month release cycles, daily/weekly maintenance, and adhoc/emergency changes.Maintain the automated ‘Bill of Materials’ system used to pro-actively communicate the in-flight element list with development teams for review/sign-off of release packages.Provide Release build/promotion statistics for monthly metrics/control chart reporting Enforce element promotion standards via BMC Remedy through Endevor to move changes through the various Development, System Integration, QA, Regression, User Acceptance, Maintenance and Production environments.Provide Endevor Administration and developer training as necessary.Maintain rigorous Endevor clean-up procedures to delete elements as requested or the elements found not to be part of the overall release package.Administer/customize JemCheck, JobScan utilities for automated JCL syntax checking and standardcompliance.Notify Production Scheduling of any new jobs or changes promoted through automation.Maintain and post SCM SOPs on the Release Management intranet web site.Monitor space for Endevor owned libraries and increase space as needed. Maintain library backups and compress utilities.
