Job Description:
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on all plant machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance, a solid understanding of mechanical systems, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• 2nd and 3rd shifts available*
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, mechanical systems, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with pumps, motors, conveyors, HVAC systems, and other equipment.
• Conduct inspections of equipment to identify and address potential issues before they result in downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to established schedules.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to aid in repairs and installations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and machinery when required.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's Degree or trade certification preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical repair, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overnight shift
Experience:
• Machine/Vehicle Maintenance: 2 years (Required)
• Hand and Power Tools: 2 years (Required)
• Mechanical: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
• Driver's License (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
• Watertown, CT 067+5: Relocate before starting work (Required)
