About The Role
As an Operations Manager (Marketplace) in Uber Rentals team in IndiaSA, you will help us fuel the growth of this product category across India & South Asia region by maintaining marketplace health, designing robust pricing and incentive strategies, optimizing budget spends and ensuring competitiveness for Uber.
What You'll Do
• Solve marketplace reliability and efficiency challenges by leveraging data, identifying the root cause and implementing effective, long-term, and scalable solution
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational opportunities. Develop new processes or optimize existing processes to keep the marketplace balanced, reliable and efficient.
• Design and optimize pricing for Rentals, keeping in mind rider/ driver requirements and competition
• Allocate budgets and design & implement rider/driver incentives; optimize spends to ensure high ROI and business sustainability
• Monitor industry trends and competitor landscape and dynamically respond to market needs
• Build long term and short term business plans for Rentals and track performance against these
• Handle product and fare configurations for Rentals
• Build and execute a roadmap to expand Rentals beyond top 15 cities in India SA
• Build and develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g., Core Marketplace, S&P, Marketing, CommOps, Policy, Comms, Legal, etc.)
• Collaborate with our Product teams to rollout and assess the impact of new features
• Independently plan and project manage multiple projects and have the ability to deliver in a constantly evolving, complex environment
What You'll Need
• 3+ years of relevant experience in business analytics, high growth startups, management consulting or investment banking
• Bachelor's degree preferably from top universities in Engineering, Economics, Business, or other disciplines with quantitative focus
• Proven experience in data-driven decision-making and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
• Proficiency in data analytics, SQL and Excel modeling
• Appetite for solving problems, however complicated or ambiguous they may be; and ability to break down high-reaching problems by applying structure and using data-driven insights
• Creative mindset that enjoys experimentation and is willing to take bold bets despite risk of failure
• Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and adopt a generalist do-what-it-takes mindset
• Manage and deliver end-to-end projects on time with autonomy in a constantly evolving, rapid growth environment; and demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan and prioritize tasks across multiple projects
• The ability to clearly communicate and present information to stakeholders across all levels of the business
