Manager Card Operations


Location – Parramatta

Employment type – Temporary 12 months (Full Time)

Clerk Grade 11/12. Salary $13+,787 - $161,663 p.a, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading


Your role

Deliver, plan and coordinate complex projects and engage external stakeholders (government, non-government and private businesses) as the Manager, Card Operations in Partnerships branch of DCJ. You will manage a small team people responsible for the NSW Seniors Card / Senior Savers Card and the NSW Companion Card programs as well as lead projects to support the Ageing Well in NSW: Seniors Strategy 2021-2031 .


What you’ll do


In this role you will be responsible in managing the team to improve the efficient administration of the two card programs and to improve services and customer experience of members. There are new opportunities to better engage seniors and people with a disability through the use of technology with a clear focus on customer needs.


Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies and external vendors to deliver a range of ICT and marketing services to DCJ. This includes an ability to manage procurements and to manage commercial contracts with vendors to ensure favourable terms and efficient service delivery.


Evaluate the performance of government partners and vendors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations, service level agreements, compliance and performance metrics are met.


Promote the objectives of the Seniors Card and Companion Card programs to private business and increase their engagement with the programs. And with the Seniors Card program to also identify commercial opportunities for advertising and promotional campaigns for members.


Engage with other states and territories to ensure there is nationally coordinated approach and policy consistency in managing the two programs.


What we’re looking for


Demonstrated Expertise: Proven experience in managing commercial partnerships and contracts with private and across government sector entities.

Government Collaboration: Strong background in managing service agreements and collaborating with government agencies.

Marketing Understanding: Successful track record in creating and executing marketing and sponsorship strategies.
