The Event Operations Manager Must Be Able To
Responsibilities
The Event Operations Manager will oversee meetings, events, and trade show processes, procedures, and technology platforms to maximize Tyler’s business impact
This leader will partner closely with various marketing teams to develop and implement operational strategies that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Tyler’s events and trade shows
The Event Operations Manager will have a significant impact on processes and procedures that protect and strengthen the company’s interests
They maintain mutually beneficial relationships with hotel national sales organizations, technology vendors, destination management organizations (CVBs), and industry associations
The Event Operations Manager will support a strategic meetings management plan that help align meetings and business objectives to deliver value by saving on operational costs, mitigating risks and improving how events are managed
They do this by centralizing visibility into planning, sourcing, contracting and reporting functions
Strategic Meetings Management Program Support:
Streamline processes related to contracts and service agreements to improve rate negotiation and identify preferred suppliers
Operationalize meeting, event, and trade show processes and procedures: define and manage rules for workflows and approvals
Establish and manage consistency in planning, sourcing, promoting, delivering, and surveying
Reconcile expenses and assign event costs to specific budget codes
Track, measure, analyze, and report on events enterprise-wide
Maintain solid working relationships with hotel NSOs
Build and manage team best practices
Asset Management Oversight:
Lead team responsible for procuring, and managing logistics of trade show booths and other equipment
Maintain vendor relationships for the storage, production, labor and shipping of equipment
Establish and manage inventory protocols
Event Technology & Services
Oversee sourcing, implementation, and maintenance of software used to manage trade shows, meetings, and events, including but not limited to registration, delivery platforms, mobile apps, lead capture, trade show management systems, event management systems, and networking tools
Build and maintain relationships with technology and service providers
Manage negotiation and contracting of AV, show services, and shipping
Manage lead capture procedures and provide actionable data for constituents
