Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager of Lean Process Improvement is responsible to guide and facilitate teams using Lean methodology. The Manager is responsible for training and coaching in Lean management, communication, project coordination, documentation and ensuring the adoption and implementation of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Lean Management System. The incumbent embodies the Lean ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a four (4) year degree in a relevant field
Minimum of three (3) years experience managing Continuous Improvement Project portfolios, leading team training and providing focused mentoring and coaching, including experience in the healthcare sector
Professional development in project management and/or quality improvement methodology
Lean training and/or certification an asset
Demonstrated mastery and application of Lean principles
Strong fundamentals in project management
Experience with leading groups through improvement processes
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Experience developing training curricula and associated training materials using the principles of adult education
Exceptional computer proficiency including use of Microsoft Office, Visio, Microsoft Project or other value stream mapping computer tools
Knowledge of applicable legislation including the Occupation Health and Safety Act and the Public Hospitals Act
Bilingualism is an asset
Embodies the LEAN ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement
Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Provide expert advice and guidance to management, staff and stakeholders on continuous quality improvement initiatives that enhance quality of care, patient experience and outcomes.
Promote and lead quality improvement initiatives using Lean Methodology to identify, improve and sustain high-quality healthcare practices.
Apply analytical and quantitative methods to monitor and evaluate healthcare performance, identifying opportunities for ongoing improvement in clinical and operational outcomes
Define and track quality metrics that reflect patient experience and outcomes and healthcare delivery efficiency.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to streamline and standardize processes, reduce variability and increase value for patients.
Serve as a change agent by engaging with leadership and frontline staff to adopt and sustain quality improvement practices that support a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Use analytical and quantitative methods to assess, design and implement process optimization opportunities to better connect, streamline and simplify cross-functional operations.
Champions a patient-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader relationships, systems and knowledge, in supporting team objectives and personal development
