Manager, TAFE Partnerships
Salary: $134,5+3 to $180,115 (Plus Superannuation)

The Role
Reporting to the Director, TAFE Partnerships and Governance, the Manager, TAFE Partnerships will be responsible for a small, high performing team focused on engaging with individual TAFE institutes and dual sector universites, and working across the TAFE Network, the broader Skills and Employment group and other government agencies and industry groups to support opportunities for TAFEs to partner and connect to better achieve Government's priorities in relation to productivity and inclusion.
Below are the main responsibilities of the role:
Identifies issues in common for one or more clients or stakeholders and uses them to build mutually beneficial partnerships, while considering responsibilities and obligations of the TAFE network; Identifies, influences and responds to stakeholder's underlying needs; and uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved.
Project development and implementation of stakeholder engagement and communication actions through facilitation of discussions and engagement with an aim to progressing opportunities and addressing risks; making a positive impression on others and comes across with credibility; Communicates orally in a manner that is clear fluent and holds the listeners' attention; Able to deal with difficult and sensitive topics and questions.
Provide Leadership, guidance and be an identified point of escalation for issues and challenges within the team, including the capacity to lead staff and manage people and resources. This includes demonstrated success in lifting team performance, undertaking continuous improvement and developing staff.
The Team
The position of Manager, TAFE Partnerships forms a part of the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD). The Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD) plays a system leadership and management role for the TAFE Network across Victoria. The OTCD is primarily responsible for driving change in the way in which the Victorian TAFE Network provides training as a coordinated network and serves Victorian students, employers and communities and responds to Government priorities.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
Specialist/Technical Expertise: Influence and negotiate with stakeholders to contribute to the achievement of common goals, specifically with TAFE institutes and TAFE network; Manage relationships with and between program or project stakeholders; With reference to TAFE institutes and TAFE network, conduct risk assessments and produce risk reports; Conduct risk management practices including identification, assessment, monitoring, communicating and measuring the effectiveness of risk controls and treatments; Develop risk mitigation and treatment strategies; Create stakeholder management plans using analysis of their influence and interests; Represent projects/programs at Department governance bodies; Identify, classify and regularly monitor risk in accordance with Department processes and guidelines and Provide guidance on risk identification and prioritisation to support effective decision-making.
Organisational Awareness: Understands issues and pressures to which the organisation must respond; understands the reasons behind the organisational climate and culture, including within TAFE institutes and dual sector universities.
Strategic Planning:Thinks at the big picture level; entertains wide-ranging possibilities in developing a vision for the future; works across several time frames; translates strategic direction into day-to-day activities.
