Responsibilities
The Managing Director will play a key leadership role at Danforth Advisors, focusing on billable client work while also driving account management, cross-selling services, and new client acquisition
This position is designed for experienced professionals with significant expertise in finance and accounting (e.g., Senior Director, VP/SVP, EVP, CFO) within the life sciences industry
The Managing Director will serve as both a practitioner and business development leader, nurturing client relationships and driving growth across service areas
Client Engagement & Billable Work:
Provide expert consulting services in finance and accounting, helping life science clients navigate complex challenges
Lead engagements with both private and public life science companies, supporting key decision-making and operational strategies
Act as the strategic lead for key client accounts, focusing on nurturing relationships and identifying opportunities for further engagement and growth
Cross-sell Danforth’s range of services, introducing clients to other areas of expertise including clinical/regulatory, human resources, strategic communications, risk management, and commercial readiness
Develop tailored, long-term solutions that evolve with the client's needs across their corporate lifecycle
New Client Acquisition:
Develop and implement business development strategies to acquire new clients, leveraging industry networks, market knowledge, and Danforth’s established reputation
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase the visibility of Danforth Advisors and grow the client base
Leadership & Collaboration:
Work closely with other Managing Directors, Danforth Consultants, and senior leadership across various practice areas to ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to client service
