Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. We are a busy jobbing shop looking for long term employees as we continue to work in our growing industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. This role involves interpreting blueprints, operating manual machines, and ensuring that all components meet precise specifications. The Manual Machinist will play a critical role in the production process, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.

We are an all manual shop, no cnc machining, strong manual skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
Operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to produce high-quality components.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
Perform welding tasks as needed to assemble parts or components.
Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Work to close machining tolerances and verify dimensions
Fit and assemble machined parts and assemblies
Preference will be given to applicants with additional mechanical skills (equipment disassembly and reassembly, pumps, gear boxes etc.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
Strong knowledge of machining techniques, including lathe operation, bearing replacement, and assembly processes.
Ability to operate overhead cranes And rigging procedur.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies in the machining field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
