Job Description:
Desired Qualification - Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or any other related engineering discipline or equivalent education and experience. ITSM, ITIL certification preferred.
Desired Experience - 13-18 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in Leadership roles as Head of Department handling IT/ Digital operation of large Manufacturing Enterprises.
Relevant Industry - Exposure IT arm of a manufacturing Firm / IT Services organization (having manufacturing clients).
Roles & Responsibilities / Duties To Be Performed - Candidates should have demonstrated exposure and current responsibilities towards,
• Experience of managing IT for Manufacturing Organization having multiple units. Should have production planning & supply chain area experience in IT.
• Experience transitioning an organization from traditional to agile development methodologies.
• Experience in running an ERP transformation (implementation or upgrade program).
• Drive the ERP Transformation program for the company, specifically for Manufacturing Operations linking it to Sales, Supply Chain, Production Planning, Material Management etc.
• Provide leadership, vision and direction to the Manufacturing Units from IT Applications perspective to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its goals.
• Work with Business and IT Managers to develop an overall application strategy in the context of the business strategy and initiatives.
• Develop productive relationships with business leaders and product managers across the organization to influence how applications can enable new sources of value.
• Ensure that application processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation.
• Implement and manage application product roadmaps status reporting, metrics and benchmarks.
• Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.
• Conduct regular Surveys of Stakeholder Satisfaction with application products, publish the results and, where necessary, implement action plans to improve satisfaction.
• Overseeing the assessment of the technical and business fitness of the application and product portfolio and their associated costs and risks.
• Facilitating the application product governance process to gain consensus on a prioritized set of measurable business outcomes that applications and products must support.
• Prioritizing Change / Enhancement Requests on ERP as well as Bespoke applications basis inputs from the Business routed via the IT Infrastructure and Operations Service Desk
• Working with the Information Security Lead to ensure that the organization's application products are effectively secured and that risks are mitigated.
• Manage application group personnel, developing their skills and capabilities to meet the needs of the organization, as well as building on existing recruiting capabilities to address new needs and skills gaps.
• Identify and provide Digital solutions to key business challenges and drive tangible business value (volume or cost gains) Or increase productivity Or improve ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) and Safety practices
• Experience in Data center, Server and in-house application management, SAP application & technical landscape, Network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, MPLS, P2P, ILL, SD WAN etc.), Network & Firewall Security operations, End point computing devices, IDAM (Active Directory/ Google cloud identity), MDM/ MAM, Conference & collaboration systems, DR (Disaster recovery), Backup and storage solution and Cloud hosted application and infra operations etc.
• Experience on cloud platforms and cloud services in Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud (GCP), Google Suite etc.
• Should have custom software implementation/management experience along with vendors.
Project Management
• Defining the structure of IT Service Lines and setting-up Individual Goals & Objectives for IT team
• Forming IT policies for email, internet access & exploring external and internal business / IT best practices and assess re-application.
• Possess interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with demonstrated abilities in Team Management and Customer Relationship Management.
• Handled functional requirement documentation for systems to be implemented for Sales, Purchase, Manufacturing and Distribution, BOM, Material Requirement Planning, etc.
• Software Audit Report on ERP system for external Auditors
• Budgeting for IT department and services for others.
• System Analyst, New Design, Projection & implementations
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
• Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix management environment (as well as external vendors and service providers) to ensure that segregation and overlapping roles are identified and coordinated.
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
• Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in process formulation and improvement.
• Expertise in software application implementation and performance monitoring
• Also must have in-depth knowledge and experience of the following:
• Financial accounting and reporting practices applicable to application products, costs and risks.
• IT contracts and their likely cost implications.
• Engagement with procurement and legal contract advisors for additional information.
• IT applications, operations, service and support organizations.
• Development and implementation of processes and policies.
• Lean IT, agile development, and DevOps principles and frameworks
• Managed a team of at least 3-8 members in application implementation management, Software Shortlisting or Development with Implementation/Management.
