Responsibilities
The Project Engineer in manufacturing is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects related to production and manufacturing processes
This role involves working closely with engineering teams, production & union staff, management to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
The Project Engineer will also identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects, including new equipment installations, facility upgrades, new product launches and process enhancements
Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations for capital expenditures
Coordinate with stakeholders, including engineering teams, safety, procurement, and contractors, to ensure successful project delivery
Identifying problems, initiate capital requirement and manage capex project for the Rehlko facilities and work with contractors to finish project safely
Manage projects using Smartsheet and create dashboards to maintain project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets
Execute process improvement initiatives: analyze current situation, understand desired state and performance gaps, understand root causes and propose solutions, test and execute solutions, monitor results and sustain
Complete technical studies and prepare cost estimates, risk analysis and review the project with management and safety team
Provide training and support to manufacturing teams on new processes, technologies, and Kaizen principles
Assist in the development of training materials and documentation related to process improvements
Deploy strategies on the shop floor to improve employee engagement and morale while obtaining results in safety, productivity, and cost

Skills/Requirements
• BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 2-5 years’ experience as a manufacturing engineer / project Management experience is preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma project experience is preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement to improve productivity and cost reduction.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• AutoCAD and Solid work knowledge.
• Knowledge of industrial power systems and PLC’s is preferred.
• MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
