Are you a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional looking to gain exposure to how Canadian Natural markets, sells and reports revenue from various products in the Canadian and US markets?
We currently have an exciting opportunity in the Marketing Accounting group. As a Marketing Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for the accounting of marketing deals and transactions, working closely with the Marketing and the Property Accounting departments, analyzing marketing transactions for invoicing and the impact on netback pricing, as well as recording journal entries. Strong technical, analytical, organizational and communication skills are required along with an excellent work ethic and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
Job location: Calgary, Alberta
Shift schedule: 5 x 2 - Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day

Key Responsibilities:
Gather information, accurately calculate, and analyze netback pricing for various marketing streams including Oil products and NGLs
Review marketing contracts and counterparty invoicing to accurately incorporate the information into the netback price calculation
Liaise with Marketing, Property Accounting and other departments to ensure marketing transactions are accurately accounted for on a timely basis
Confirm marketing transactions on invoices with counterparties, monitor progress of the confirmations and follow-up on discrepancies with Marketing
Maintain desk procedures for assigned marketing streams
What you Bring to the Role:
1 to 3 years of accounting experience
Accounting or business degree is required
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with EnterpriseOne is an asset
