Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing and Event Coordinator to join our team. This role involves planning, executing, and optimizing marketing campaigns and supporting events to enhance our brand presence and engage our target audience, members, and the local community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing strategy, strong organizational skills, and a creative approach to delivering impactful experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive brand awareness and support business growth while serving our Chamber members. The Marketing and Event Coordinator will report to the Vice President of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies for events and brand initiatives.
• Support day-to-day marketing activities, including social media management, newsletters, and regular communications.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to create promotional materials, including social media content, flyers, and email campaigns.
• Ensure all event marketing campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
• Works with the VP of Operations in the planning and coordination of key events, such as Merchant Mondays, Testimonial Tuesdays, Ribbon Cuttings, and Member Orientation Breakfasts. This includes venue selection, contract management, BEOs, catering, transportation, and technology to ensure successful event execution.
• Manage relationships with vendors, sponsors, and members to ensure event success.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback for improvements.
• Monitor and report on event and marketing performance metrics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience/internships in marketing, event planning, or related roles.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with marketing software/tools (e.g., CRM systems, email marketing platforms).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible hours, due to Event schedules in early mornings and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with digital marketing strategies and social media platforms.
• Experience Working, Interning, or Volunteering with Chambers of Commerce, Non-Profit Organizations, or Volunteer Organizations.
• Experience in event planning.
