Position Summary

The Marketing and Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring development, implementation and evaluation of a marketing plan; staff training on marketing and lease-up procedures; and provide coordination of promotional activities within the licensees Owen Sound retirement homes including community linkages.

The Marketing and Sales Manager reports directly to the General Manager and provides weekly marketing reports plus a monthly summary of all marketing activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Develops marketing plan and is responsible for implementation and evaluation, revising as needed based on changes in the marketplace and competitive analysis;

2. Remains up to date with changing industry standards and trends/services and knows local competition extremely well;

3. Completes a competitive analysis annually and makes recommendation for rates / service changes based on this information;

4. Provides staff training and hands-on support for marketing, tours, open houses, special event planning, marketing principles, documentation, and customer service;

5. Completes weekly marketing reports and submits to designated corporate staff / owners as applicable as well as a monthly summary of all traffic and marketing activities;

. Uses competitive analysis and monthly traffic reports to help determine advertising campaign, incentives programs (including referral program) and community outreach goals;

7. Ensures that residence and model suites are “tour ready” at all times – liaises with Maintenance Manager and General Manager to address any deficiencies;

8. Works with Maintenance Manager to ensure that vacant suites are refreshed to residence standards in a timely manner;

+. Maintains leads management system to ensure scheduled follow up calls are completed to track and develop relationships with prospects;

10. Develops community partnerships and promotes the use of the residence for external groups as a promotional strategy; Works with the Recreation Manager to ensure the sharing/maximizing of resources and marketing opportunities both internally and externally;

11. Arranges all terms and process for trial and respite stays within the residence;

12. Ensures appropriate follow up to all residents admitted to hospital to set process for their return to residence;

13. Ensures that all expenditures are tracked and reconciled with approved marketing budget;

14. Organises and conduct tours, follow ups, lease up interviews, admissions arrangements;

15. Maintains the confidentiality of information relating to residents both personal and financial;

16. Other duties as assigned.
