Marketing Assistant
Peoples Ford, the largest independently owned retailer of Ford vehicles in Europe, has a rare opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join their successful Marketing team.
About the Role
We are seeking an engaging and diverse Marketing Assistant who is passionate about digital marketing. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a fearless attitude towards challenges.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Social Media
Develop and implement social media content across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) to boost brand awareness and engagement.
Create and curate captivating content, including posts, stories, and videos.
Monitor social media trends and analytics to adjust strategies accordingly.
Analyse and report on social media performance metrics regularly to gauge success.
Event Coordination
Assist in planning and executing company events from concept to completion.
Coordinate with vendors, manage guest lists, and oversee event logistics.
Contribute to post-event evaluation and reporting.
Email Marketing
Design and dispatch email marketing campaigns, ensuring brand consistency.
Manage email databases, segment lists, and track performance metrics.
Develop strategies to grow subscriber base and enhance email engagement.
Website Updating
Regularly update website content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Collaborate with the web development team for major changes or updates.
Optimize website content for SEO and monitor web traffic analytics.
Content Creation and Copywriting
Develop and produce high-quality, engaging content for various marketing channels, including website, social media, and email campaigns.
Craft compelling copy for promotional materials, advertisements, and press releases.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure a cohesive visual and textual brand message.
Conduct research to understand target audience preferences and tailor content accordingly.
Regularly review and revise content to maintain its relevance and effectiveness.
E nsure all content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience.
Requirements
You must have exceptional attention to detail, solid written English skills, and the ability to produce impactful copy quickly. You should be well-organised, communicative, and eager to contribute to the team's success. An experienced user of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik-Tok, and LinkedIn, is essential. A full UK driver's license is beneficial but not necessary.
Travel
The role is based in our Edinburgh FordStore with the Group Marketing Team. Geographical responsibility covers the Group, requiring travel to locations in Scotland and Liverpool.
