Summary:
In collaboration with the marketing team, the Marketing Coordinator (MC) will generate creative ideas, craft compelling copy, and support the company’s efforts to bolster our diverse brand presence in clubs and across digital platforms. The MC will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the visibility of all UAC brands on various social media platforms, assisting with content creation, event planning and execution, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth marketing operations.
This position demands strong written and verbal communication skills, a creative mindset, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
The Marketing Coordinator will foster a respectful, collaborative, and inclusive workplace with free-flowing information. The Marketing Coordinator will listen and ask questions while remaining mindful of tone and body language. The Marketing Coordinator will participate in ongoing DEI training to improve these skills, celebrate diverse perspectives, and ensure equitable access to resources.
Location: Washington, DC & Northern Virginia
Specific Responsibilities:
General Marketing Support
Assist in maintaining and scheduling content for social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), including text, image, and video posts.
Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and messages, responding promptly and professionally.
Support partner development, social outreach, and community engagement.
Monitor and manage review responses and Google Business profiles.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement campaigns that enhance brand awareness and engagement.
Create high-quality written and visual content, including blog posts, graphics, videos, and compelling copy for marketing campaigns, social media, and external communications.
Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with the target audience.
Manage communication and approvals between creative and stakeholder teams, ensuring smooth project handoffs.
Order print marketing collateral for each location.
Provide administrative support as needed.
Event Support
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events.
Provide on-site support during events, including setup, registration, attendee assistance, and post-event cleanup.
Capture event highlights through photos and videos for use in social media and marketing materials.
Collaborate to brainstorm ideas for event promotion and attendee engagement.
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a creative mindset for generating engaging content ideas.
Proficiency in using social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) and basic graphic design skills using tools like Canva (Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and take the lead on in-club initiatives.
Approachable, proactive, and a self-starter with a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Car/Driver’s License preferred. This in-person position reports to our U Street Home Office and requires regular travel between locations.
