About the Opportunity

You will be responsible for the coordination of the Communication and Marketing Team's digital content and webpage approvals, strategic communications planning, major project procurement and overseeing record keeping obligations under Council's record management policy.


You will:

Plan, manage and deliver strategic marketing, communications and engagement plans with a high level of control to drive measurable improvements in service awareness, positive social media engagement and brand visibility;
Be guiding, writing, editing and approving website, communication and marketing collateral in accordance with Council's brand hierarchy, style guides and regional signage manual across a range of platforms including print, broadcast, and digital;
Assist with the formulation and annual review of Council's disaster response crisis communication plans to ensure a fast, effective, comprehensive and systematic mobilisation and messaging;

This role is full time, working 36.25 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO.


About yourself

A person in this position will need to hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Strategic Communication, Public Relations or associated discipline (e.g. digital communications, graphic design) or be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have demonstrated experience using the Adobe suite for content creation.

Mandatory Vaccinations (or a valid and verifiable contraindication) are to be evidenced when requested by Council.
