Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Mata Ahupae - Administrator to join Orauariki - Wellington School of Business and Government at Pipitea Campus, on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hrs per week). The role is located within both Te Kura Kāwanatanga - School of Government and Te Kura Tiaki, Whakawhiti Kōrero - School of Information Management and is an opportunity for someone who is motivated, curious, and adaptable to assist with a diverse selection of school activities. These range from course and programme administration, through to supporting the Tumuaki - Head of School and Pou Hautū - School Manager with school operations, meetings, and events in general.
Key responsibilities:
Administrative assistance for courses and programmes at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
School-level administration including school and public events, travel bookings, school meetings with minute taking, website, and communications.
HR and finance assistance.

You will have:
Proven administration and teamwork experience in a busy office environment.
Excellent people, communication, and relationship-building skills.
An ability to work effectively under pressure to manage competing and changing priorities.
The ability to consistently complete individual responsibilities while also maintaining a collaborative approach.
Strong self-management and problem-solving skills.
Confidence with technology and an ability absorb new information and to learn systems quickly.
Success in this role will come through attention to detail, strong teamwork and agility, and an enthusiasm to contribute to the vision and ongoing development of our schools and their activities and programmes, as they move forward.
