Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows based computer program, and ERP/MRP based company-wide sales order administrative systems
Ability to measure performance to goals and standards
An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations

Responsibilities
The Material Expeditor is responsible for the control and distribution of product by controlling the flow of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods within and between GSM Facilities
The Material Expeditor works with other stakeholders to ensure the correct materials are at the designated work centers when needed and are properly dispositioned after each operation is completed
The Material Expeditor is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels for all materials in the ERP system (location, count, and other attributes), as well as ensuring the physical integrity and organization of all materials on the shop floors
Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock
Updates and records location of inventory in ERP system
Locates, verifies and kits materials and supplies as indicated in work jackets or as otherwise instructed
Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and removing materials and supplies
Documents disposition of materials and supplies by recording units delivered and location of units on work jackets and in the ERP system
Participates in and/or coordinates cycle counts and/or physical inventory counts to validate inventory integrity
Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product
Documents product shipments by recording necessary information
Assists with Shipping/Receiving and interfacility material transfer functions as needed
Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for creating a professional, safe, and clean environment evidenced by: being at work on time to perform assigned duties, following the policies of Granite State Manufacturing, always wearing safety glasses in designated areas, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and following safety practices to prevent errors
Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by establishing effective relationships and networks with both managers/directors and workers, and collaborating with them to accomplish shared purposes and goals
Abides by GSM Code of Ethics and Business Conduct standards and strictly observes all U.S. and foreign laws and regulations
Completes other duties as assigned
