Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis.

This role supports the planning team in Hastings, providing an ideal stepping stone for someone looking to build knowledge around the planning function with a view to making the step into supply chain in future.

Key Responsibilities

Production Order Releasing:
Ensure production packs are stapled together with necessary drawings.
Release orders in line with the schedule for monthly output.
Maintain Machine Shop Drawings on Thursdays.
Re-works:
Action rework notifications according to system requirements (excluding Fibre).
Allocate stock to correct production orders.
Print rework production orders in a timely manner to ensure batch allocation.
Raise issues with the value stream planner if unable to action rework due to routing, stock, or quality issues.
Scrap Replacements:
Ensure daily completion of scrap replacements required by assembly areas (excluding Fibre).
Own each value streams KS area, ensuring assemblies know when missing parts will be received or ensuring parts are de-kitted and moved back to stock.
Label Printing:
Perform label printing for all value streams when requested by production (excluding Fibre).
RCN's – Routing Change Notifications / ECNs – Engineering Change Notifications:
Complete and action change notifications for all departments (excluding Fibre).
Run master data to update production orders with new routings/BOMs.
Cancel production orders as required by RCN/ECN.
Provide exception management support to the planning team.
Create deliveries when parts enter stock if not automatically created.
Requirements

Confidence working with computer software, including Excel.
Experience with SAP is desirable.
A positive and proactive approach to work, eager to solve problems and help the business run smoothly.
