Are you an experienced leader with a passion for maternal and child health? Do you want to make a real difference in a vibrant and growing community? Mitchell Shire is looking for a dedicated Maternal and Child Health & Immunisation Coordinator to lead our dynamic teams.

As the Maternal and Child Health & Immunisation Coordinator you'll lead and deliver Maternal & Child Health (MCH) and Immunisation Services that effectively enhance the health, wellbeing, learning, development, and safety outcomes for the Mitchell community. You will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of MCH and immunisation nurses, a social worker, parenting support workers and administration support workers, and oversee the delivery of vital MCH and immunisation services, and develop initiatives that have a lasting impact on the community.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the delivery of maternal and child health services
Coordinate immunisation programs for infants, secondary school children, and other community members
Support and mentor a skilled multidisciplinary team
Plan and implement initiatives to meet the needs of local families
Ensure compliance with regulations and policies
About You

Our ideal candidate for the Maternal and Child Health & Immunisation Coordinator role is a compassionate leader with a strong background in maternal and child health. You’re someone who thrives in a team environment and is passionate about supporting both families and your colleagues.

To be successful, you’ll need:

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and Midwife and hold an accredited graduate qualification in Child and Family Health Nursing.
Significant experience in maternal and child health, including managing or coordinating teams. Familiarity with immunisation services is an advantage.
To be a natural leader who can inspire and guide a team, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills are a must. You’re able to connect with families, build trust, and effectively communicate with your team and stakeholders.
Well-organised skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure that services are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
To be dedicated to improving the health and well-being of families and understand the importance of delivering high-quality, community-focused services.
