Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Mathematics Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Cambridge International AS & A Level curriculum. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mathematics education, skilled in curriculum planning, and committed to fostering analytical thinking and a love for learning among students.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective lessons for IBDP Mathematics (Applications and Interpretation and/or Analysis and Approaches) and Cambridge AS & A Level Mathematics (including Extended, Additional Mathematics and International Mathematics). Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with IB and Cambridge syllabi and school academic objectives. Prepare students for internal assessments, external examinations, and other evaluation processes including IAs (Internal Assessments), EEs (Extended Essays), and Cambridge exams. Employ diverse instructional strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities. Monitor student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback. Participate in curriculum development, assessment moderation, and collaborative planning with department colleagues. Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to academic reports and parent-teacher communications. Contribute to the broader school life, including co-curricular activities, academic support sessions, and events. Stay updated with developments in IB and Cambridge pedagogy and assessment practices. Uphold and promote the school’s values, ethos, and academic standards.
Qualifications and Experience: Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching IBDP and/or Cambridge AS & A Level Mathematics. Teaching qualification/certification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE) Proven track record of successful exam preparation and student achievement. Familiarity with IB philosophy and Cambridge International Education principles. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Competency with digital tools and educational technology.
