As part of our Meat Processing Team in Waikato, you'll play a key role in ensuring our sites comply with regulatory and company standards, providing our customers with top-tier meat products and service.

About the Role:

In this vital role, you’ll implement and maintain compliance programs that ensure the quality and safety of our products. You’ll actively contribute to a culture of ethics, compliance, and continuous learning within the organisation.

Location: Te Rapa Park, Waikato
Shift: Rostered for five days a week between Sunday and Friday, 7 pm to 3:30 am
Position: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate on-time delivery of protein products to specification from the Waikato Butchery Processing plant.
Manage and engage in Food Safety programs at the SF Waikato site.
Oversee shelf-life validation, regulatory limits, and labelling requirements for products.
Participate in quality control processes to ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
Implement quality assurance programs and initiatives.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld in the department.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Monitor meat-packing and processing functions for a smooth workflow.
Inspect product quality before packaging.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:

1-3+ years of experience in food processing, butchery, or food safety.
Experience in food processing, food product management, or meat manufacturing is preferred.
Familiarity with the food service or meat processing industry.
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence environments is a plus.
Fluent in English with excellent command of the language.
