1. General Mechanical Servicing:
- Routine maintenance and servicing, including oil changes, air and cabin filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Ensuring the overall health and longevity of vehicles with comprehensive servicing schedules.
2. Vehicle Diagnostics:
- Using advanced diagnostic tools to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues in a wide range of vehicles.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to engine performance, electrical systems, and fault codes.
3. Steering and Suspension Repairs:
- Full inspection, repair, and replacement of steering and suspension components.
- Addressing issues such as worn-out shock absorbers, struts, tie rods, and bushings to ensure smooth handling and vehicle safety.
4. Clutch and Driveline Diagnostics & Repairs:
- Inspecting and diagnosing clutch issues, including slipping or hard-to-shift clutches.
- Repairing or replacing faulty clutches, flywheels, and driveline components, including driveshafts, CV joints, and U-joints.
5. Brakes:
- Brake inspections, pad replacements, and rotor machining.
- Diagnosing and repairing issues with brake systems, including ABS and hydraulic systems, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
6. Tyre Services:
- Tyre fitting, balancing, and rotation.
- Advice on tyre selection, care, and maintenance to suit different driving conditions and vehicle types.
7. Wheel Alignments:
- Precision wheel alignments to prevent uneven tyre wear and improve handling.
- Using advanced alignment equipment to ensure correct geometry for a smoother, safer ride.
8. Timing Belts and Valve Clearances:
- Replacement of timing belts at manufacturer-recommended intervals to prevent engine damage.
- Adjusting valve clearances for optimal engine performance, fuel efficiency, and longevity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics and Repairs:
- Perform in-depth diagnostics and repair work on a wide range of vehicle systems, including engines, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Servicing and Maintenance:
- Conduct routine vehicle servicing according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring all components are operating efficiently and safely.
- Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of the work required and the costs involved.
- Offer advice and recommendations on the best options for vehicle repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with fellow technicians to ensure timely completion of all tasks, while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized in line with health and safety regulations.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and service techniques through training and professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in the automotive industry, particularly in general mechanical servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, drivetrains, steering, suspension, brakes, and electrical components.
- Diagnostic Skills:
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Customer Service:
- Excellent communication skills, with a customer-first approach to service.
- Certifications:
- A qualification in automotive mechanical technology (e.g., Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology) is preferred, but experience is valued as well.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Current driver’s license.
