The Impact You’ll Make
Join Lam as a Mechanical Hardware Designer and create innovative designs that improve costs, reliability, and advancements in next-generation products. You'll apply digital design, CAD software, and interpret engineering drawings to implement designs that solve material and manufacturing process challenges. Your expertise contributes to the reliability and innovation, showcasing Lam's commitment to cutting-edge technology.
In this role, you will directly contribute to Etch Product Group -Design Engineering Team
Primary Responsibilities
• Create CAD models for the design concepts and design changes of complex parts and assemblies.
• Implement design changes for parts and assemblies, including changes to address issues identified in supplier build or problem reports
• Responsible for working on Electromechanical component, Update Model as per modification request.
• Responsible for Fixture design of Electromechanical Component – O-ring Installation, Covers, Blank-off plates.
• Consult with Engineering/Product group to interpret on requirements and translate to deliverables.
• Accountable for delivering on time with quality as per key performance indicators, as well as consistent improvement in efficiency.
• Responsible for working in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while being a team player.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in mechanical/production/industrial engineering with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or Diploma with 6 to 8 years.
• Experience in recommendation of OEM Components- Fasteners, O-ring, Gaskets, Hydraulic fittings
• Experience in creating Model & Assembly in NX, Wavelink Modelling.
• Review Prints with reference to Form, Fit & Function, Application of GD&T- Approve Print as Checker.
• Experience in material selection for Fixtures- Metals, Plastics.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in various fabrication methods (Machining- Metal & Plastics, Sheetmetal)
• Knowledge of welding symbols, GD&T symbols, Surface finish, etc.
• Knowledge and exposure to ANSI, ASME, AWS, ISO, and SEMI standards applicable to the semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of MS Office software like MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint
• Exposure to Semiconductor industry-related Engineering activities.
