Mechanical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
1. On-Site Supervision: Provide on-site leadership and supervision for mechanical construction projects, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
2. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of mechanical technicians and subcontractors, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules.
3. Technical Oversight: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other related systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment, conduct regular safety inspections, and address any safety concerns or hazards promptly.
5. Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials, conduct inspections, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure that mechanical installations meet quality standards and specifications.
6. Resource Coordination: Coordinate the allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity and efficiency, while minimizing waste and costs.
7. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate activities with other trades, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to project milestones.
8. Communication: Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to provide updates, address issues, and resolve any conflicts or challenges that may arise during the project.
+. Problem Solving: Identify technical challenges and obstacles, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain project continuity.
10. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, work logs, inspection records, and safety documentation, to ensure compliance and facilitate project closeout.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical construction supervision, preferably in a site-based role.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including piping, and industrial machinery.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members to achieve project goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices relevant to construction sites, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.
