We are actively recruiting for Mechanical Fitters to work on a variety of type 26 frigates at our Govan site.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have experience in heavy industry, with a strong background in mechanical fault finding and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
Working on a variety of type 26 frigates
Providing proof of apprenticeship certifications
Obtaining security clearance before starting on site
Repairing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Using general workshop machinery and hand tools
Requirements:
Heavy industry experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Mechanical fault finding
Hydraulic and pneumatic system repair and maintenance
Basic machining and assembly activity
