Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Commissioning Technician:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Maintaining and repairing Mechanical and hydraulic systems.

 Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance to avoid equipment failure and downtime.

 Implementing safety protocols and participating in emergency response drills.

 Collaborating with other offshore personnel to optimize production efficiency while adhering to safety standards.

 Recording operational data and reporting any anomalies or issues to the relevant supervisors. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

 Install/overhauling/Maintenance of equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves.

 Rotating equipment cold/hot alignments.

 Assist vendor representatives and site operations in operation and Maintenance of the equipment and start up activities.

 Ensure compliance with the site safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work.

 Managing supplies and spares inventory to ensure critical equipment is always operational.

 Assisting with the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.

 Conduct Lock-out-Tag-out on mechanical, hydraulic and/ systems.

 Maintain all computer-generated service records and time sheets. Experience and Education

 Served full recognized apprenticeship or equivalent

 Five (5) years’ experience in directly performing PTW and works in an oil and Gas industry and minimum one FPSO experience of 2 years

 Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagram/Drawings (P&IDs) installation standards etc.

 Experience on rotating equipment installation, pre-commissioning and Commissioning

 Ability to read, comprehend and write in English language. Physical Requirements

 Ability to lift 25 kg without assistance

 In possession of current OPITO BOSIET, MIST, MEDICAL and Working at Heights 2

 Physical fitness must be certified through a medical examination as the offshore environment requires good health and stamina
