Payment Posting Analyst

EMPClaims was recently recognized as a Top 10 vendor for RCM Services in the US, and we take pride in the quality of our services. Our customers include large health systems and small medical practices. We have 400 employees across RCM Operations, IT, HR and Software Development (Grown from 65 employees in 2020 to 400 employees in 2026)

Shift Type: Day Shift (08:30 AM to 05:30 PM)

Job Title: Analyst

Department: Payment Posting

Job Location: Ahmedabad

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately post and reconcile payments received from various sources, including insurance companies, patients, and government payers.
• Verify the accuracy of payment amounts, adjustments, and denials.
• Enter payment data into the billing system and ensure all information is correctly recorded.
• Analyze remittance advice or Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to identify discrepancies, underpayments, or overpayments.
• Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or irregularities in cash reconciliation.

Qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor's degree (B.com, M.com, BBA)
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Required Skill sets:
• Good Analytical & creative mind
• Excellence in Adobe, Excel & Google Analytics
• Should be flexible as per workflow & company requirements

Key Responsibilities:
• Verify patient's insurance coverage
• Analyze & update daily status reports
• Ensure accuracy of patient demographics and insurance information
• Entering charges as captured by providers
• Review medical records and correct Codes, if found to be incorrect
• Assign appropriate modifiers to each CPT code
• Creating claims and transmitting them to designated Clearing House
• Must follow necessary HIPAA compliance and security of documents
• File written appeals to Medicare and other insurance companies when the claims are rejected
• Assemble and input coding results into the billing system in order to accelerate proper billing
• Use data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies

Qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor's degree (B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc Biology)
