Job Overview
Ochsner Health System is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of medical imaging. As a Radiologic Technologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our diagnostic imaging team and ensuring patients receive accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by completing necessary documentation and answering questions.
Clean and prepare examination rooms for next appointments.
Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy to ensure providers are prepared for visits.
Maintain radiographic equipment and work areas to departmental standards.
Perform quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and notify management as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; current enrollment in an accredited Medical Imaging program preferred.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Ability to safely operate radiology equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
