About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic medical leader to join the Neuroscience & Rehabilitation leadership team. As Medical Lead, you will provide expert medical leadership, clinical governance and strategic direction across this essential program, ensuring patient-centred, high-quality care.

In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with clinicians, program leaders and consumers to guide service planning, improve patient outcomes and support continuous service improvement within the program and wider network.

The 0.5 FTE allocated to this role is dedicated solely to managerial duties, with no clinical practice component.

About the Neuroscience & Rehabilitation Program

The Neuroscience and Rehabilitation service consists of Neurosurgery, Neurology and Stroke, General Rehabilitation, the SA Spinal Cord Injury Service, SA Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service and Care awaiting Placement Services.

About You

You are a committed and experienced clinical leader with a passion for driving excellence in patient care and service delivery. With advanced medical qualifications and proven leadership capabilities, you’ll bring strategic insight, strong clinical governance experience, and a collaborative spirit to this critical role.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Specialist medical qualifications registerable with the Medical Board of Australia, along with current AHPRA registration.
Proven clinical leadership experience with the ability to influence, motivate and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality Neuroscience & Rehabilitation services.
Exceptional communication, analytical and decision-making skills, with demonstrated success leading service reform, financial management and achieving service improvement outcomes.
In-depth knowledge of contemporary Neuroscience & Rehabilitation care models, public health service operations, clinical governance frameworks and workforce management principles.
