Overview
As a Medical Oncologist DM DNB Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with cancer. Your expertise and decision-making will directly impact patient outcomes and contribute to the advancement of medical oncology.
Key Responsibilities
• Conducting thorough patient assessments and developing comprehensive treatment plans
• Administering chemotherapy and other oncology treatments
• Monitoring patient responses to treatment and adjusting plans as necessary
• Participating in clinical research and contributing to medical advancements in oncology
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care
• Ensuring accurate and detailed medical record keeping
• Keeping up-to-date with latest developments in medical oncology through continuous learning
• Providing education and support to patients and their families
• Participating in tumor board meetings and other collaborative discussions
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
• Contributing to the development and implementation of oncology protocols and guidelines
• Participating in professional development activities and mentoring junior staff
• Adhering to ethical and legal standards in medical practice
• Effectively communicating with patients, families, and colleagues
Required Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Oncology
• Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Medical Oncology
• Valid state medical license and board certification in medical oncology
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in medical oncology
• Proven track record in managing complex oncology cases
• Experience in participating in or leading clinical research projects
• Strong clinical decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and clinical software
• Strong commitment to patient-focused care and continuous improvement
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities
• Knowledge of current regulatory and compliance standards in oncology
