Organization Description: Jaipur Rugs is a social enterprise that connects rural craftsmanship with global markets through its luxurious handmade carpets. It is a family-run business that offers an exclusive range of hand-knotted and hand-woven rugs made using 2500 years old traditional art form.
The founder, Mr. Nand Kishore Chaudhary created a unique business model, which provides livelihood to the artisans at their doorstep. This changed the standard practice of involving middlemen to work with artisanal communities. The company currently has a network of over 40,000 artisans spread across 600 rural Indian villages in five states of India. It has an end-to-end business model, right from sourcing of wool to exporting a finished handmade rug.
The modern and eclectic collection of rugs, made using the finest wool and silk, has won numerous global awards and is currently exported to more than 45 countries with the US sales arm, Jaipur Living, Inc. located in Georgia, Atlanta.
Job Description: The specific responsibilities of the position holder will
be (though not restricted to) the following:
• Assist in promoting a positive image and inter-business relationship with Jaipur Rugs and Jaipur Living
• Analyzing data from demand planning, inventory reports, and other resources
• Analyze sales of Jaipur Living and find product assortment gaps to increase sales
• Work with USA counterpart to understand product and quality requirements and liaise with product and production teams to product the required product in a timely manner.
• Correspond and answer queries of US-based team effectively and independently
• Following up with cross-functional departments for placing orders (as per the US office’s specifications).
• Timely execution of production activities to meet deadlines and achieve seamless delivery of the order.
• Deciding on the sample approval before the commencement of production.
• Ensuring maintenance of quality standards at all stages during the production process.
• To analyze the required Technical Details and incorporate them into real products.
• Coordinate closely with logistics dept to ensure samples are received by the US office in a timely manner
• Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes
• Development of new products and expansion of the existing product line.
Qualifications and Skills required:
• Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Strong understanding of color, design and product attributes is a must
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience analyzing and improving supply chain data, information and processes
• Previous experience with supply chain processes strongly preferred
• Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes
Compensation:
• 12 - 15 LPA
