About the Role:
We are seeking a Mid to Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in HVAC design to contribute to our initiatives across various sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. In this role, you will support our expanding refrigeration design capabilities, delivering innovative solutions tailored to client needs. You will collaborate closely with our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions, to create a unique client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform calculations and design engineering systems independently, ranging from basic to advanced.
• Create detailed mechanical system layouts, drawings, and schematics.
• Review shop drawings for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Conduct research and make recommendations regarding the feasibility of systems or equipment, evaluating products for application.
• Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and customers to support business development.
• Engage in continuous learning to enhance proficiency in industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Products.
• Manage project coordination activities, such as organizing emails, coordinating scope and schedule, attending client meetings, ensuring project quality, addressing client inquiries, and coordinating project delivery.
• Act as a resource for training and assisting colleagues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Mid Level:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural) with 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of experience without a degree. A Professional Engineering (PE) license may account for 1 year of experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and HVAC design software (e.g., IESVE, Trane Trace).
Experienced Level:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field with 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of experience without a degree. A PE license may account for 1 year of experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and HVAC design software (e.g., IESVE, Trane Trace).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Completion of the FE exam, LEED, or WELL accreditation.
• Advanced knowledge in engineering design, A&E industry standards, codes, and design guides applicable to various practices and project types.
