Base pay range
A$60,000.00/yr - A$80,000.00/yr
Your role
As a Motor Mechanic in the Air Force, you’ll repair and maintain an exciting variety of high-tech vehicles, machinery, and equipment that you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re on the runway or in a workshop, you’ll work on anything from aviation vehicles and aircraft loading systems, to aircraft arrestor systems and refuelling equipment.
Your duties may include:
Servicing and repairing vehicles and ground support equipment.
Planning and scheduling equipment maintenance.
Building and assembling machines and mechanical components.
Inspecting machines, engines and transmissions.
Providing support to fuel farms, including fuel testing/sampling and vehicle offloading/dispensing.
Performing trade supervisory tasks including progressive inspections.
Maintaining ground support equipment electrical systems, ground radar mechanical installations and refrigeration/air-conditioning systems.

Upon completion of initial military and employment training, you will enjoy a salary package starting from $75,451.
Location
Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley, Williamtown, or Edinburgh.
