Job description
• Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified. Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
• Ensure full understanding of the latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
• Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
• Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above the work specified.
• Check the level and quality of work through the use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
• Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDIs, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty, and site requirements.
• Complete vehicle health checks and CitNOW video in a timely manner (or equivalent).
The knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment.
• The capability of working to the highest quality standards.
• Great communication skills.
• A full UK driving license.
• Experience within a main automotive dealer is preferable, but not essential.
• VOSA-approved MOT testers an advantage but not essential.
• Must hold Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent.
• Experience working within a prestigious / luxurious car dealership
