Ngā Tāngata Microfinance Trust is looking for a dynamic, community-focused individual to join our team as the My Money Kete Coordinator. This vital role will oversee and facilitate the delivery and promotion of the My Money Kete financial capability toolkit, helping to increase financial literacy and independence for individuals and whānau across Aotearoa. You will work closely with financial mentors, community partners, and clients to ensure the effective implementation of the toolkit and continuous improvement of the program.

Key Responsibilities

My Money Kete and Financial Mentor Support:

Coordinate day-to-day operations of the My Money Kete program, ensuring timely and effective resource distribution.
Support and train financial mentors, clients, and community partners on using the toolkit.
Manage social media and website queries related to the program.
Promote the toolkit to individuals, whānau, and community groups to increase awareness and uptake.
Training and Support:

Design and deliver training materials for clients and financial mentors.
Provide one-on-one support to clients and mentors to ensure successful use of the toolkit.
Create quarterly e-newsletters to communicate updates and insights.
Promotional Activities and Stakeholder Management:

Engage in promotional activities to increase NTM's profile, especially within the FinCap network.
Build and maintain strong relationships with budgeting services, referring agencies, and community organizations.
Reporting & Administration:

Prepare monthly reports and updates on program activities.
Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy policies.
Health & Safety:

Adhere to NTM’s health and safety policies and foster a safe working environment.
Key Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in program coordination, community engagement, or financial capability services.
Budgeting experience in line with NZFFBS guidelines, with a proven track record of high-quality service provision.
High numeracy and financial management skills.
Skills & Attributes:

Excellent communication and client advocacy skills.
Proficient in IT systems, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Self-motivated and able to manage workload effectively, working under pressure when necessary.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to diverse groups in a non-judgmental and empowering manner.
Full driver’s license and access to own vehicle (travel reimbursed).
Familiarity with Māori and Pacific communities and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
Other:

A police check will be required as the role involves managing financial transactions and sensitive information.
Internet for home-based work (contribution provided for costs). Mobile phone provided.
Part-time - 30 hours per week. 1 year fixed term contract.
