Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Database Administrator to join our growing Technology company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and strategic guidance of our enterprise-grade online platform.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in database administration, with a strong background in MySQL and cloud migration. You will work closely with our development team to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our database systems.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing and suggesting DDL for new features in line with SQL coding standards and best database performance.
• Advising development teams on possible implementations for new features at the planning stage.
• Configuring database credentials in dev, staging, and production platforms for applications and providing database credentials to the devops team.
• Tracking Data Analyst requests for GDPR sensitive data, seeking authorisation where necessary.
• Following a continuous improvement goal to keep all database systems as up to date as possible through researching changes in new versions, testing new versions with the development team and proposing/actioning live upgrade plans.
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience in database administration with a strong background in MySQL.
• Experience in cloud migration.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
