We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurology team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. The department of Neurology at MedStar consists of 87 Neurologists and 15 Neurology NP’s. MedStar Health offers a wide range of neurological services performed by board-certified neurology specialists. In this position, the provider will have an independent outpatient practice in the Department of Neurology with a focus on neuroimmunology and treatment of patients with Multiple Sclerosis. The incumbent will work with members of the MS Center to master the care of these patients, following which they will work as an independent practitioner. The candidate will become facile in the use of immunosuppressive and immunomodulatory medications, as well as the symptomatic management of a variety of neurologic issues. There will be an opportunity to learn the use of botox and intrathecal baclofen pumps for the management of spasticity specifically.
Job Requirements:
• Completion and graduation from an accredited NP program.
• CPR certification required.
• Neurology experience preferred.
