About The Role
An established healthcare provider is seeking a skilled and motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their progressive radiology team. This role offers a dynamic and engaging work environment with opportunities to enhance technical expertise and contribute to high-quality patient care. Key aspects of the role include:
Working with state-of-the-art imaging technology: 2 PET and 2 NM devices
Flexibility to work across both PET and NM or specialise in a single modality, as preferred
Joining a collaborative team structure across multiple sites and brands, with a fully staffed team of 5-8
Monday to Friday hours (+am - 5pm) with minimal weekend shifts for occasional pre-surgery imaging
Support for CT scope training, with opportunities for professional development in hybrid imaging
Hands-on involvement in innovative procedures and exposure to cutting-edge advancements in molecular imaging

Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain PET and NM imaging devices, ensuring consistent, high-quality imaging results
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures following clinical protocols
Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and effectively, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
Prepare and guide patients through procedures, respecting individual cultural and personal backgrounds
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to interpret imaging results that enhance patient care
Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines for both patient and staff well-being
Maintain thorough and accurate records and documentation for all procedures and patient interactions
Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the radiology department
Skills And Experience
Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board
Demonstrated experience in nuclear medicine and/or PET imaging; CT experience is beneficial but not required
Competency in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and operation of advanced imaging equipment
Strong interpersonal skills with an awareness and sensitivity to cultural and community diversity
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team across multiple sites
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient safety
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and development within the field of nuclear medicine
