Job description
The New Zealand Government's Refugee Health Liaison team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Nurse to provide essential health screening and care for refugees from offshore. As a key member of this collaborative team, you will play a critical role in supporting refugees to settle successfully into their new community.

Your main responsibilities will include gathering health information from offshore panel physicians, determining the immediate and ongoing needs of Quota refugees, and providing necessary offshore treatment. You will also participate as an active team member, contributing your knowledge and expertise to the team.

Key Responsibilities
Gathering health information to understand comprehensive health needs
Determining offshore treatment necessary prior to arrival and immediate and ongoing support

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and at least 10 years relevant work experience
Advanced knowledge of health sector and clinical practices in New Zealand
Previous experience in health-related fields such as refugee health, primary care, or public health would be beneficial
Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively with diverse communities
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
