About Our Service
The Gynaecology Service at Christchurch Women's Hospital is a world-class facility delivering excellent healthcare to women. We are a 27-bed ward, specializing in gynae medical, surgical, and oncology surgical patients, as well as a 5-bed assessment unit for both acute and planned admissions, including an Early Pregnancy Assessment Service (EPAS) nurse-led clinic.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Practitioner - Gynaecology and Obstetrics Expert. In this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to women across various stages of their lives. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to the development of our service.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality patient care to women, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Contribute to the development of our service, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care within our team and the wider organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) as a Registered Nurse.
Experience working in women's health, including contraception knowledge.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
