Nursery Room Leader

Job description
We have a lovely nursery near Dulwich who are looking for a Nursery Room Leader to join a dedicated and friendly team. Close to the train station and local bus routes, it is a spacious nursery with separate rooms and gardens for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

The children enjoy a varied and stimulating timetable from cooking with their Chef, to Zumba classes, to gardening and growing veg. They also love getting involved in the community and taking trips to the local attractions.

Working with a range of staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the running of your assigned room. This will involve planning and implementing educational activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and supervising other staff members in the room.

Responsibilities
• Foster a love of learning and creativity through play-based experiences
• Lead and supervise children within the nursery
• Full understanding of nursery setting pathways
• Ensure the safety, health, and hygiene of the children
• Patient and understanding

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
• Minimum of a Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NNEB)
• Previous experienced leading a team at a nursery
• Knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Build rapport in a friendly manner
