Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Hume Valley School. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive student-centred Occupational Therapy service to individual students in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy practice to support students to access the curriculum
Evaluate programs and provide evidence of outcomes
Participate effectively in a team environment and develop collaborative working relationships
Collaborate with staff, families, and external services to promote awareness of Occupational Therapy issues across the school
Work with staff in developing and implementing programs that support the functional needs of students with disabilities
Selection Criteria:

SC1 - Ability to develop and deliver a comprehensive student-centred Occupational Therapy service to individual students in an educational setting
SC2 - Ability to use evidence-based Occupational Therapy practice to support students to access the curriculum
SC3 - Demonstrated ability to evaluate programs and provide evidence of outcomes
SC4 - Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in a team environment and develop collaborative working relationships
SC5 - Well-developed interpersonal skills including collaborating with staff, families, and external services
SC6 - Understanding of a variety of Occupational Therapy interventions for children aged 5-18 years with disabilities
Requirements:

AHPRA Accredited Occupational Therapist with preference for paediatric work experience
