Position: OM PA Payroll Analyst Classification: Hourly Off Scale, Overtime Eligible. Pay range: $35.58 - 42.7+. Requires a four-year degree in accounting, business or finance; or significant relevant work experience.

Position Summary The OM PA Payroll Analyst role provides detailed analysis and operational support for payroll systems. Job Duties/Essential Functions Performs audits of payroll data to review, research, and report on discrepancies. Works closely with other payroll teams to complete time sensitive tasks and reports as part of the payroll close process.

Monitors and analyzes business processes in close cooperation with other SAP HCM teams, including IS support team. Provides subject matter expertise and general system support (e.g., break/fix, minor enhancements, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting). Ensures that all assigned documentation is completed and kept up-to-date.

Communicates potential problems, recommends solutions, and updates progress in a proactive and effective manner. Helps monitor compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state laws. Uses independent judgment and discretion to interpret and administer the Employee Agreement and Company policies as they relate to the input, tracking, and auditing of payroll procedures.

Investigates and responds to all aspects of the payroll systems. Develops and presents payroll training to warehouse personnel via phone, webinar or through written communications. Communicates with Payroll Clerks, location employees, and managers on navigation and functionality of the payroll systems.

Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location. Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications Required: Strong technical PC and mathematical skills and aptitude for learning new systems. Excellent information-collection, evaluation, organizational, analytical/troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional attention to detail, with a history of process documentation. Basic-to-intermediate level using Excel spreadsheets (create formulas/lookup tables, import data, link data between spreadsheets). Basic-to-intermediate level using Google Docs, Sheets, etc.

(editing, proofreading, formatting, creating graphics). Positive, professional demeanor, and proven ability to communicate well with all levels of the company, including stakeholders. History of flexibly adjusting to rapidly changing direction or priorities while still effectively prioritizing work.

Dependable, self-motivated individual with proven history of seeing projects through to completion. Ability to effectively teach and train system users, both in person and over the phone. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the business; later shift on payroll Mondays. Recommended: Demonstrated history of excellence using Costco's SAP HR/Payroll system (HCM) and/or Kronos WFC. Experience appropriately interpreting and following Costco's Pay Policies.

Prior experience supporting operations in an administrative capacity. Basic-to-intermediate skill level using data analysis tools. Basic-to-intermediate skill level working with employee wage garnishments.

Basic-to-intermediate skill level working with payroll overpayments and recover. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Other Conditions Management will review the Job Analysis for this position prior to a job offer.
